With the rising cost of fuel, and the restricted budgets that our Ontario Dept of Education is operating with, we are getting new cost-efficient school buses to replace the old, BIG, diesel-guzzlers that have served us for the past 50 years.
To further save money, they are NOT being purchased from a North American manufacturer but from an Indian firm.
The Ontario Government got the idea from the British Columbia Government following a meeting of Provincial Premiers. Here is one of the buses:
