No lo conozco demasiado hoy. Pero suficiente para hacerle un humilde pedido: "Run, please run".
Tenemos uno de los peores presidentes de la historia comandando al país en uno de los momentos más críticos de su historia. No es una combinación formidable, de acuerdo. Pero eso no es lo más grave, éste es mi punto. Lo peor es que hasta el momento la oposición ha sido casi tan efectiva como la que encabeza Alfonsín en mi país de origen (sí, Alfonsín, es el hijo de, justamente, uno de los peores presidentes de la historia de mi país, pero esto es para otra charla). Imagínese como andaremos de mal que los dos cabecillas en contra de Obama hoy son un mormón famoso por haber creado un sistema de salud universal en su estado durante su gobernación y un ex-demócrata, presidente del club de fans de Al Gore.
2012 pinta deprimente, Sir Governor. Pero usted puede cambiar el panorama.
Run, please run, Governor Christie*.
(*) Ahora, entre nos, tiene que bajar de peso.

Cain told Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday" that the New Jersey governor is too liberal to run as a Republican for president because of past policies on immigration, assault weapons, civil unions and global warming.
"I believe that a lot of conservatives, once they know his positions on those things you delineated, they will not be able to support him," Cain said. "I think that that is absolutely a liability to him, if he gets in the race."
"Most of the conservatives believe we should enforce our borders. They do not believe people should be here without documentation. They don't not believe global warming is a crisis or a threat," Cain added. "Yes it might be a little bit out there, but they don’t see it as a crisis or a threat. And as you go right down the line, he’s going to turn off a lot of conservatives with those positions."
