Más sobre la ayuda a África y las protestas por la reunión del G8 en Edimburgo. El autor sostiene que debemos exigir “trade, not aid”, pero no cualquier tipo de comercio, “Free Trade Not 'Fair' Trade!”. Me quedo con esta frase:
Prosperity kills fanaticism just as surely, and perhaps even more effectively, than democracy — provided, that is, that the latter exists in any meaningful sense. In that regard, tariffs on textile imports from countries such as Pakistan and Egypt are harmful to American national security as well as offensive to free-traders' principles.
