But in a small town in Alaska, residents got so fed up with the quality of their candidates 15 years ago, they held a write-in campaign for a kitten.
"Stubbs” won that race and became the mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, CNN reported Tuesday. The furry politician has led the town to glory ever since, residents say, with a popularity rating rarely enjoyed by human competitors.
"He doesn't raise our taxes,” explained Lauri Stec, manager of Nagley's General Store, which doubles as the mayor's office. “We have no sales tax. He doesn't interfere with business. He's honest.”
ReplyDeleteNotable el comentario: We have no sales tax. He doesn't interfere with business. He's honest.”
Si gana me voy a vivir a Alaska!
ReplyDeleteMicifuz Presidente!
ReplyDeleteMicifuz al gobierno, Comandante Benegas al poder!
