An unusual photography exhibition, which includes pictures of the landscape from Tehran's rooftops, is being presented in Israel starting Wednesday.
The artist is Mehraneh Atashi, an international renowned Iranian photographer from Tehran, who courageously agreed to have her work displayed as part of the "Poetics of Photography" exhibition at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa, alongside other Arab female artists from Syria and Gaza.
"We received an email from the Iranian artist several days ago, in which she says she wants to participate in the exhibition because it is being held at the Peres Center for Peace, and it's important for peace in the Middle East," says the exhibition's curator, Sharon Tuval.
"Indeed, she must have a lot of courage to do so because she also let us to publish her name, and the craziest thing is that she sent us a video piece she wants us to screen at the opening."
