Johan Norberg sobre la Cuba de Castro. Insisto con lo mismo, es total y absolutamente inútil seguir repitiendo estas cosas. La legión de apologistas del régimen cubano es 100% inmune a cualquier tipo de argumento racional. Para ellos se trata de una cuestión quasi religiosa:

But it´s like the old joke about how you end up with a small fortune - you just start with a big one. It´s not difficult to present literacy approaching the Spanish rates if you started out by having higher literacy than Spain. So I´ll just repeat what I have written before:
Before Castro, Cuba was as rich as Italy, and richer than Spain. Cuba has not merely lagged behind, it has actually grown poorer, and is now more than five times poorer than these countries. It used to be among the richest in Latin America, now it’s among the poorest.
Cubans had better access to food than all other Latin American countries except Argentina before Castro, but now they have worse access than almost all the others. Cubans are the only people in Latin America who have seen their intake of calories decrease since then. It is now better than in the 90s, but more than every tenth Cuban is chronically undernourished.
Cuba had lower infant mortality than all other Latin American countries before Castro, and lower than France, Italy and Japan. It is the only area where progress has continued since then, but it has been much slower than in other similar countries.
Here is a test of extreme leftists´ double standards: Do they mention the infant mortality statistics as an excuse for murder and dictatorship? In that case, do they think that Pinochet was better than Castro, since he reduced infant mortality in Chile more in 25 years than Castro has done in Cuba in almost 50 years?
El problema es uno solo y está perfectamente identificado: es "el fanatismo".
ReplyDeleteYo soy de derechas, pero si alguien me dice que en USA se están violando algunos derechos humanos, sin enojarme en lo más mínimo, le pregunto ¿cuáles?. Y si me dicen que Bush es un tarado, le digo "puede ser", dame más datos. No me enoja en lo más mínimo. Pero andá a decirle a un zurdo que en Cuba se violan los derechos humanos... te querrá matar. O decile que Castro es un tirano... te puteará.
No importa que tengas pruebas, el fanático ha perdido la posibilidad de razonar.
Existen muchísimos humanos que caen en el fanatismo, abrazando cualquier idea, y haciendo culto a los sinietros personajes que supuestamente la encarnan.
Ese es el 100% de inmunidad a que te referís, es el fanatismo, que impide pensar, razonar, discutir y.. ¿por qué no? hasta cambiar de manera de ver las cosas.
Los musulmanes son fanáticos, y ese es su peor defecto. No pueden ver más allá, tienen el monopolio de la verdad.
Algo parecido pasó en Argentina con el peronismo. Perón=Dios. Fomentado por los líderes populistas, el fanatismo es causa de crímenes horrendos.
El día que la humanidad supere el fanatismo, se habrá dado un gran paso. Hasta entonces, las guerras y los conflictos serán cosa de todos los días.

Además, todos los paises mejoraron en los últimos 50 años, asi que tomar a 1950 como referencia en algún que otro índice que le de bien como lo hace castro es una joda.

En un territorio como Cuba, hay que ser pésimo administrador para mantener ese país tan pobre.
