Limbaugh en NY Times

Rush Limbaugh recibe benigno tratamiento nada menos que del New York Times. Nunca pensé que algún día vería esto, el diario elitista y liberal por excelencia tiene elogios para el hombre que representa todo lo que detesta... Paul Krugman, por ejemplo. 

Aquí un dato con el que se va a atragantar más de un progre con su croissant en el Starbucks de Park Avenue esta mañana:

Limbaugh’s audience is often underestimated by critics who don’t listen to the show (only 3 percent of his audience identify themselves as “liberal,” according to the nonpartisan Pew Research Center for the People and the Press). Recently, Pew reported that, on a series of “news knowledge questions,” Limbaugh’s “Dittoheads” — the defiantly self-mocking term for his faithful, supposedly brainwashed, audience — scored higher than NPR listeners.

Se van a arrancar los pelos los elitistas que piensan que su título de college los capacita para manejar la galaxia, mientras alguien que come en McDonnald's  debería perder el derecho a votar.  

Me recuerda la afortunada frase de William F. Buckley, Jr., sobre elitistas, gente común y esas yerbas:

I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.
