Vice President Joe Biden recently made this statement, "Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive."
It's really hard to believe that such an asinine statement would come from a man who has risen to be vice president of the greatest nation on earth. In fact, it's almost hard to believe he said it.
In my humble opinion the veep either had a brain transplant, he skipped class a lot in high school, or he's been living on another planet.
In fact the administration Joe Biden serves in is the outright enemy of great ideas. Socialism is the nemesis of innovation and Obama's spread the wealth approach to governing does not reward great ideas.
You've been in your taxpayer-subsidized ivory tower too long Joe, you need to climb down to street level where the real people live.
Let's examine this ridiculous statement.
Government vision and government incentive?
Was the government patting Henry Ford on the back when he made the automobile affordable to the masses?
Was the government hanging around Dr. Jonas Salk's laboratory when he discovered the serum for polio, or holding Orville and Wilbur's hands in Kitty Hawk that day or at Edison's place when he came up with all his great ideas.
Were Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Pete Rozelle, Andrew Carnegie and the other innovators and leaders of industry merely following a government vision and drawing on government incentive?
And how about the arts, Mr. Vice President? Was the genius of Hank Williams and Bob Dylan encouraged by government?
No, Mr. Biden the lion's share of the great ideas from these three centuries or any other centuries were not the result of government inspiration or incentive, but the product of individuals who created and built, who in many cases, laid it all on the line, betting their entire future on one roll of the dice, having their great idea when they were down to their last buck and last once of inspiration and the government didn't even know what they were doing until the rest of the world did.
No, Mr. Biden, to quote a great man, "Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem."
You see Joe; the government does not create anything except a generational dependence on the government dole and massive debt.
The only way America will ever dig out of this horrible hole the government has dug us into is through the industry and innovation of private citizens operating outside government supervision, government interference, government incentive or government vision.
Printing money and making foolish statements just ain't gonna get it done, Joe.
¿Lo más peligroso de todo? Están convencidos de que es así.
