Real Americans

Visto en The Corner:

My younger son (age 19) and I recently spent a week in Tokyo. Upon leaving the Tokyo National Museum and entering Ueno Park, a Japanese man — mid-thirties, I’d say — came up to us and asked how we liked the museum and the surrounding area. We told him we’d enjoyed our visit. He mentioned a few other places in the park we should visit — all in pretty good English — and then he asked if we were Americans. We said yes. He then asked, “From where in America?” We said, “Texas!” He suddenly grinned broadly and said, “You are real Americans.”
