De Barbara Demick. Muy, muy interesante. Y tremendo. Y estremecedor. Y, me defeco en la cortesana progenitora, cómo puede ser que 24 millones de personas vivan como extras en el primer parque temático dedicado a la novela 1984.
Hard to believe that the average person's life could be "ordinary" in that hell hole. Does Demick rationalize life in North Korea or does she tell the truth?
Stogie, I am sorry, I got carried away with other stuff. I believe the author uses “ordinary” as synonym of “everyday”. As awful as it seems, the lives she describes, thanks to a series of interviews with North Korean defectors in South Korea, are normal lives for North Korea standards.

ReplyDeletePerhaps the author is being a bit sarcastic?
DeleteLouis?
Oh, and Louis, perhaps you should clarify your "me defeco en la cortesana progenitora" to Stogie, hehehe.

DeleteGracias, OngoBoingo. JL, yo lo bajé del sitio que dejó Wilson, una mina de oro en serio.
DeleteEse site es una especie de Amazon gratarola. Parece joda. ¿Cómo llegó todo eso ahí? ¿Cómo sigue ahí?
