Más sobre el episodio de la “burquini” en Francia, de Guy Sorman:

Laicity –the word carries more ideological weight than secularism - is a reminder of the historical origins of the French Republic: since 1789, all along the 19th century, until the 1930s, this Republic has been built against the Catholic Church. Such a history could not be more different from the pious origin of the United States Republic. This secular ideology is not fought against, not even by the Muslims. After the law was passed, Muslim leaders reacted softly: they want better schools and do not care much about the veil.
