This was my Dad, William Henry Langman (known to his buddies as Harry), in London during WWII. He was a Royal Canadian Recruit who volunteered at 18 years of age. Dad didn't die in the war but it always haunted him—there was a sadness in his eyes when he'd recount stories to me. The one thing he taught me was the importance of remembering. We must never forget the sacrifice these young men and women made (and continue to make) for us every day.

ReplyDeleteLos canadienses fueron soldados muy duros en la II Guerra Mundial. Tenían una fama temible entre los alemanes.
